(POSTPONED) Safeguarding the Future: UN Challenges, Multilateral Action and Child Protection
22 January 2026. From 18:30 | Conference | English | IEMed
THIS CONFERENCE HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL A NEW DATE TO BE DETERMINED
At a time when the established multilateral system faces acute challenges, global cooperation is under unprecedented strain. How can the United Nations remain relevant and effective? How can the existing humanitarian system evolve to meet the expectations of a new global era? In this context, both the UN80 and the Humanitarian Reset aim to increase efficiency and effectiveness amid an unprecedented funding crisis, while continuing to respond to the critical humanitarian needs in large scale conflicts and protracted crisis globally. As in all crossroads, challenges exist but opportunities also arise, particularly for long overdue reforms, reviewing UN mandates and program realignment, ensuring protection at its center with the aim to create an effective humanitarian system capable of meeting the challenges of the future in a new global order.
